welcome
3/31/08 -Project launch
The past two months, I've been working on a Web site for the Chapel Hill / Carrboro Chamber of Commerce - great folks, by the way. Top class, every one. Their Total Resource Campaign is about to kick off - info can be seen at www.carolinachamber.org/trc/. Props to Dana Kublin for the nifty logo.
Sadly, the really neat stuff about the site can only be accessed with a login - which I can't give out here. But for a first attempt at using php scripts and mysql databases on the back end, I'm pretty satisfied with the way things turned out. Hopefully I can make a little video of the better parts and post it up here. Cheers (and become a member of the Chamber of Commerce if you can)!
1/29/08 - Site goes live
With any luck, this site looks halfway decent on whatever browser you're on - because I haven't tested it on anything but firefox and IE yet.
Anyhoo, welcome. I've just graduated from college, and I'm looking for a job. To that end, I've set up this site. It's a portfolio and a resume and a magical link to other Web sites. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to make it cook breakfast for me yet, or anybody else for that matter. It's functionality that I'd like to add in the future, so keep checking back.
Basically, I enjoy design. It's not really so important what sort of design. I most enjoy graphic design, but I'm pretty content designing anything - furniture, food, lighting, sound and even words. Hence the play on words - Designing with intention and in tension. In such a hectic world, it's critical (and incredibly satisfying) to get people to just stop and look at something - intently.
Suggestions appreciated.
